Teckna Drilling Services operate dedicated landfill drilling rigs for the installation of gas wells. Typical finshed casing sizes are 125mm to 315mm in boreholes drilled to diameters from 300mm to 450mm. The casings installed are usually PE pipe but steel casing are often utilised in areas of high shear.
Gas wells are usually drilled to depths around 20m to 30m typically but Teckna Drilling have installed previously to 55m with a capability if required to go deeper .
Drilling for landfill gas wells can be achieved utilising self emptying barrel methods or continuous flight auger to diameters of 450mm with a maximum size of 520mm available if required.
