Landfill leachate wells are often required to be installed in some of the most demanding conditions of drilling to precise target depths.
To enable this Teckna Drilling have invested in dedicated equipment to enable 406mm temporary steel casing in bad conditions. This enables the borehole to be kept open through the unstable ground conditions to achieve the final depth with a clean borehole to be able to install the permanent pumping well casing and gravel pack.
Typical borehole diameters are 450mm and can be achieved to depths of 60m depending on requirements with the availability of larger diameter boreholes to a maximum size of 520mm installed to shallower depths.
