As with all of our drilling services we offer a national coverage to various depths and sizes and work to all UK guidleines for the installation of boreholes for the safe use of water abstraction and drinking.
On competion of the borehole a suitable sized pump will be installed. We use high qualtity pumps and pumping systems such as Grundfos or Caprari with flexible PE or steel riser mains. The finished borehole head works can be installed at ground level in a sealed chamber or be above ground sited on a concrete plinth with protective GRP chamber or similar.
All boreholes should be suitably tested for the amount of water and draw down available. This is usually a minimum of three hours for domestic and can run into days for commercial, with draw down, step and recovery tests as a minimum.
On completion of the borehole which can take anything from a couple of days or longer for larger boreholes, we can if required have the water tested at one of the UKAS Laboratories around the country. UKAS are the only government associated body authorised to assess Laborotaries to a recognised international standard. This ensures that any water sample tested is done to the same standards, on calibrated equipment to give the same impartial testing result anywhere in the country.
As a minimum standard boreholes should be fitted with an Ultra Violet filter to eliminate any bacteria that may be present in the borehole water. This along with any additional filtration that may be required after completion of the water analysis can be installed to ensure that the borehole water meets national drinking water standards
